I have various paid apps that I tried to use to open OODs and nothing I has coated to this gem. The best part was after I opened it, I had the option of converting it to a PDF. This is exactly what I needed so I could send it to someone else.

I can open Dropbox docs in OOReader fine. But none of the fonts that are in the actual document got used. Everything showed up in Times and other default fonts. Not a big deal in a reader app, but PDFs export using those default fonts as well.
I usually avoid Open Office formatted documents when possible; however, theres always one or two that crops up where the writer neglected to export as a more commonly accepted format (doc or PDF). Unfortunately, there arent any decent OO programs for the iPad, yet this viewer is one of the few viewer apps where you dont need to "convert the document in the cloud." The major shortcoming is the HUGE ad at the bottom of every file you open. If you didnt have to convert the item online, the best viewer would be doctape. Remove the garbage ads and this app will be much better.
Works, but who wants to read their documents with huge ads, many of them MOVING, at the bottom of the screen.
I would pay for this app if the ads would be removed. Any chance of that?
I was looking for an app that would view documents on my phone and there were several that you could pay for however this will read anything and it is free. Works even better if you use OpenOffice already but still works with Microsoft office too.
Failed to display even a simple LibreOffice Writer file, so I had to go with another ODT reader.
Works. Would pay to remove ads.
I was looking for a way to read .odt files in Dropbox since iPad cant read it natively. This works well for me. It was a big handicap to not be able to read my Open Office files stored in Dropbox on my iPad.
This application wouldnt do anything I wanted. It could not open a single .odt file and even if I downloaded the files it wouldnt ever get off of its "how to use this app" page. Worthless, dont waste your time
So far this app works great. Would love to have full version of Open Office one day for iOS.
The $2.99 to upgrade to "Pro" is well worth it ! Now I can show my Impress presentations and open Writer and Calc docs quick and easy! Thanks!
This is a great reader!! But can we remove the ads? Also, can we add copying to the add? So i can copy and paste? Thanks!
Needed to view OpenOffice files which are password protected. This program cannot do this seeming simple task.
Finally, a way to tote these files practically!
Does writer docs fine, but not that good with calc. I have a large calc file for my business and it only showed the last 4 sheets. Which are just notes and useless data. Wasnt very helpful on that front. But if all you need is word documents, this seems to work.
This app allows me to view my OpenOffice documents with ease while nearly no other app is compatible. Have contacted customer service for a minor glitch and they were more than helpful in a VERY pleasing time frame. Thanks for such a great app!
How do I open and use it?
Works perfect to open files sent to me that are not compatible with my phone!! Thank you for such an app!!
Great resource to open your odt files. Even when Dropbox cant read the file you can choose to open using this app from the bottom right icon on the iPhone 4S. Note: It only worked once when I first installed it and I had to cut the phone off and back on. After that, no more problems. I love the fact you can forward the file as an email attachment. I havent tried the print option yet. Thanks for the great app!
