Finalmente possiamo usare openoffice su ipad ma va migliorata
....continuamente.....
This app allowed me to open an ODG file I created years ago. After opening the document, I was able to export the file as a PDF and import into Adobe Illustrator!
I'm able to read the OpenOffice documents and that exactly what I expected from this app.
How do you even work with this app? I have ODT and I'm trying to open it. It does not pick up automatically the extension
This app can also be used to display WordPerfect files in both iOS and Android versions. Nice!
This bug appears to have resurfaced as of 6.1.2 or before (iOS 14.4). There is a faulty filename cache in which the filename is appended with a dash and incremental number despite prior copies of the file being deleted before re-downloading.
Thank you so much for the update! Works great now. I tried WPS (Apple broke it last week) and Word, but neither worked as great as OpenOffice! Please update soon. No other app seems to want to open ODT files, despite what they may claim. This used to be how I read in bed every night, and I miss it a lot. And still broken with 13.1.2 I use this app daily, but Apple managed to BREAK EVERYTHING with their 13.1.1 update. Now crashes after scrolling through a couple of pages.
I have used this app for years and have found it to be efficient and reliable. However, it has begun to completely shut down when moving about half way through a document. It has never done this before so Pam not certain what is happening. The document I use the most with this app is only 10 pages long, so it’s not too large. Must be a big, but wish it could be solved!!!
Has no search function! I have my library set up in an Open Office spreadsheet which has just short of 5300 lines. Without a search function it takes forever to find out if I have a particular book or author. I could NOT recommend this to anyone
I can now carry my LibreOffice lists with me for boring errands. Once I paid for it, the ads went away the next time I rebooted the phone.
I am not going to upload documents with personally identifiable information, financial data, important correspondence, etc. to an unknown entity to convert my info, so I can view a copy on a mobile device.
I have three iOS devices, and I use all three. OOReader was installed on one of the devices. It worked quit well so I installed it on the other two iOS devices. All three devices are connected too the same network. The problem is that documents added to one of the units is NOT available on either of the other two. All three units are connected to the cloud.
I type all my sermons using an Open Office platform on Linux Mint. This app has given me the ability to send the documents to my iPad or iPhone for the sole purpose of reading from it. Once I send it I do not plan on changing it, so the app works great for this.
This software (as explained on its webpage), does the conversion by uploading your document to the internet and then scanning and converting it. Your original document is then deleted from its servers. I have no reason to believe they will use my files in a bad way. BUT, I also have no reason to trust everyone in their organization with my files.
On my first session I got a bug alert popup written in broken English that my pdf was ... Too big? Dunno. Couldn’t view it. Forcing users to watch google ads in popup windows is also against everything that FOSS stands for. oof
This is a very nice app for who wants cross-platform access to their LibreOffice and pdf documents. The synchronization with cloud storage is great but -given the latest debacle with Dropbox cutting off RHEL OS- it would be nice to have more cross-platform storage options, I am particular fond of pCloud, hopefully they’ll manage to support it soon... One detail for equation rendering in OO Draw: rline ... lline (absolute value) pairs fail to render correctly, showing boxes instead (occasionally only rline shows up correctly...)
I paid for the ad free version and it’s been great. But all of a sudden when I try to get documents for review from my cloud (Mac to iPhone) it says the files are “empty” when they clearly are not. It’s very annoying because I can’t always be carrying my laptop around.
Was able to read a Hebrew document that was opened from a mail item.
Docs and spreadsheets made with OpenOffice/LibreOffice and stored in Google Drive (or elsewhere in the cloud) can be opened with this app. It’s for reading only; you can’t edit a document, but when using an iPad you can view your .odt or .ods file. Works well, so 5 stars from me.
Pay for upgraded version and I still get ads. Shame on you.
Would be near perfect if you could arrange docs into folders and reorder them!
Great light weight app. I use to view spreadsheets saved on google docs. The viewer formats everything perfect. Would get five stars if the app could properly load an updated spreadsheet without crashing. I have to delete the file from the feed and reload to view a spreadsheet that has been changed.
They stopped supporting password-protected ods files, such as produced by LibreOffice. It is now rather useless to me since that was why I got it.
...for reading Open Office spreadsheets, at least if they are protected.
I just downloaded the app, so bear in mind that I have used it once. It worked perfectly to open an ODT file that I downloaded from gmail. Free!
Awesome ap. Did exactly what I needed.
I have used Open Office for a long time now and I'm excited I can carry some of my spreadsheets with me, The premium option delivers what it promises. OO reader deserves a 5 star rating except for it doesn't carry over the fonts on the original spreadsheet and although it's only a reader, I'd love to be able to hi-lite something that needs to be attended to later on the computer. I could be persuaded to pay $10 for an ipad version of the Open Office for pc. It's that good.
Opens files just fine. Please add option to change text size in word type documents, and way to bookmark your place in longer documents.
I needed to open a couple of OpenOffice (OO) docs. Neither would open despite a couple of downloads. Overall poor product that did not do as advertised.
I have used open office for years and love the software. The ads will absolutely drive you crazy though. But once you use a basic VPN ad blocker, they disappear and you have an incredible user experience.
Overall a good app. Two things I would like to see. 1) File sharing through iTunes. Need to be able to upload and download files. 2) Editing functionality.
My main use case are small downloads from a Pinyin annotation website where the .odt file has many text boxes with Pinyin above the Chinese characters. However, I also tested it with large text files with embedded images, multiple page spreadsheets, presentations with formulas, and vector graphic files. All were converted faithfully. Why only four stars then? The files are listed in the order of most recently imported. The simple list of files suits my needs except I want to adjust the order of them to be the order that I use them in my meetings. Most programs when providing an edit button for a file list support both deleting and file re-ordering. OOReader allows deleting but not re-ordering.
App works well.
Free version works fine for me. IPAD A1403 IOS 9.0.2
I mainly downloaded this app so that I could open up my open office documents (.odt) on my ipad. But every time I try to open them it is "conversion error". I imagine if I pay the $2.99 for their premium version they may open, but according to the details the free app is suppose to open up .odt documents.
Disappointed. Needed to be able to open a OO Calc file from iPad. Only one sheet of 5 displays with no open to view other sheets. Deleted app.
Waste of my time. At least it was free. Deleted.
I could not find a delete file function. I also need a search file function. These may be available on the Pro version but these are basic functions and am not willing to pay for something I do not see working.
Opens all of my OpenOffice and libreoffice docs. Better than Confetti app
it's pulling an older version of a document (probably cached version) rather than always retrieving latest version from dropbox. not good, and also annoying. this is pretty basic stuff that you (developer) need to get right.. basically works, but if i can't rely on it to get latest version from dropbox, that's a pretty basic FAIL..
The converter to PDFs was the clincher, it was exactly what I needed. The only negative is that it freezes sometimes when deleting files. But, I exit and come back in and it's fine. Over all good app.
Got conversion errors for both Excel XLSX and LibreOffice ODS files. Not sure why it didn't work. This is on an iPhone 5s with IOS 7.1.1. **December 2014** Tried the new 4.3 version and still getting various conversion errors. I appreciate that you're giving the app for free, thanks! However, the app doesn't work and has never worked for me.
I am disappointed that this app does not allow TXT files.
I can tell the app works, and that you are constantly updating (not every week), however certain files have problems with loading. Goes halfway and stops with an error message (suddenly I don't remember what it said). I suggest removing ads while it loads to reroute the processing power to the loading document.
Might be a problem with iOS 8?
App only crashes on iPhone 6, don't waste your time
Thank you so much for this app. After my mac broke, I bought a PC, but would have to buy a Windows version of Word so decided to use Open Office in the meanwhile. Then I made an exam 'cheat sheet' and tiredly emailed it to me in opd format. I had no access to my computer at that point and soon freaked out. Then I found your app, could format to PDF in only seconds! Without your app, I would have been 🙀 Thanks!
UPDATE: It's working great after the latest update! Thx! Original review: As another user shared, every time I try to open something, the app gives me a "Conversion error. System error." message. Disappointing! Please fix this... I wouldn't mind upgrading if this app actually worked! I'm on a 2nd gen iPod Touch running iOS 5.1.1.
This app opens basic word documents perfectly, easily, and quickly. It also allows you to save stuff as a PDF in iBooks. It would be nice if you could increase the font size somehow when using a small screen, but the app is great as it is.
This app may not have perfect features but it's compatibility with google drive makes it a winner in my book.
